The book includes two classic works of Russian literature – comedy A.S. Griboedova (1795-1829) “Woe from Wit” and D.I. Fonvizina (1745-1792) “Undergrowth”. Immortal comedies were very popular among readers and spectators, not only because of criticism of the morals of the then society and sarcasm, which even the emperors and empress feared, but also because of bright images, living and saturated dialogs. Plus, a kind of “bonus” to the modern reader is a special style, thanks to which both “grief from the mind” and “undergrowth” diverged into hundreds of aphorisms and quotes.
