“And Jing” – “Book of Changes” – the oldest Chinese treatise, which has developed in the middle of the 1st millennium BC. Trying to convey to the European reader the philosophy of ancient Chinese texts, the famous German synologists Richard and Helmut William simply and figuratively talk about the basics of Chinese philosophy and psychology, drawing parallels with the European tradition. The basis of the book was lectures in which, on the example of several hexagrams, it is told about the concept of changes, about the role of man in the world, about how to learn to overcome crises, about the amazing processes taking place in the human soul and in the modern world, about the essence of art, about understanding life and death and much more. This book can be the first step in studying the philosophy of China, taking it a little closer, clearer, allowing you to see a not frozen tradition, but a living ancient knowledge.
