Ilya Ilf and Evgeny Petrov are the famous feuilletonists and satirists of the first half of the 20th century, authors loved by several generations of readers of the novels “Twelve Chairs” and “Golden Calf”. The dilogy of the adventures of the charming swindler Ostap Bender entered the Golden Fund of Russian literature and became the peak of the work of Ilf and Petrov. But the writers also worked in other genres: in addition to numerous feuilletons and stories, in co -authorship they created a satirical story “Bright Personality”, a novels of the city of Kolokolamsk and the tales of the New Scheherazada. These works are included in this publication.
