The novels of the famous Russian Soviet writer S. N. Sergeyev -Privsky (1875 -1958) “The guns spoke” and “Morning explosion” are included in the epic “Transfiguration of Russia” and are united not only by the first world war, but also by the common hero, artist Syromolotov. The novel “Guns spoke” tells about the first months of the war, about what was happening in Galicia and East Prussia. The Morning Explosion talks about the events that occurred in Sevastopol on October 7, 1916, – the explosion of the battleship “Empress Maria” in the Sevastopol Bay.
