Three hearts: Jack London

The adventure novel of the “heart of the three”, created in 1915 on the basis of the film score of Charles Goddard and published in 1919, the American writer Jack London considered the beginning of a “new direction” in his work and the subject of his author’s pride. The main character of the book Francis Morgan – the son of the late millionaire and the distant descendant of the famous pirate of the 17th century Henry Morgan – goes to Panama in search of a pirate treasure and meets there another Henry Morgan, who soon becomes his companion in dangerous adventures and a rival in love. Traveling to the cordillers to the treasures of the Mayan Indians, the fight against the insidious Alvarez Torres and the inhabitants of the Valley of lost souls, the wanderings of unknown lands, the rapid chases, wonderful salvations, the acute -dramatic conflicts replace each other with a truly cinematic speed, making the “hearts of three” as highly exciting reading.
