The origins of the Slavs and Rus’. Collection of articles on materials X Readings of Anna Machinskaya Memory

The proposed collection of scientific articles discusses the problems of the origin and ancient history of the Slavs, their neighbors and contemporaries in the 1st millennium BC. e. – I thousand n. e., the origins of Rus’ and the history of ancient Russian statehood and culture according to onomastics, archeology and written sources. New data is introduced into the scientific circulation about the antiquities of the old Ladoga, the Lower Volkhovy and the Pliere.
The collection is published based on the materials of the conference “Ladoga and the origins of the Slavs and Rus'”-X readings of the memory of Anna Machinskaya (Old Ladoga, December 24-25, 2005) and is dedicated to the memory of three researchers of the archaeological and architectural heritage of Ladoga and the ancient Russian Dmitrievna Bessarabova (1943-2005), Nina Kondratyevna Stetsenko Stetsenko Stetsenko Stetsenko Stetsenko (1947-2005) and Tatyana Alexandrovna Chukova (1954-2005).
For historians, archaeologists, philologists and a wide range of readers, interested in the oldest period of Russian history.
