The legends of Novgorod the Great (IX-XIV centuries)

The collection combines the oldest annalistic texts of legends, stories, lives of Novgorod the Great, telling in a chronological sequence about the events of the 9th – mid -XIV century. Gathered together, these primary sources give the reader the opportunity to touch the true history of the homeland, tragic and heroic, see the exploits of the high spirit, sanctified by religion and patriotism, and the life of a simple stink and a townspeople of this freedom -loving Russian city. This is the first Novgorod anthology of ancient texts.
