Olga Ivinskaya (1912-1995) worked all her life as a translator of poetry, as a professional writer and – for herself – wrote poetry. She did not keep her poems and was not going to publish, and, after her death, it was published in this book that was published. The author’s undoubted giftedness, female openness, multiplied by the tragic vicissitudes of fate, cannot but make these verses and memories interesting for the wide reader.
