This publication contains the works of a professor of Russian literature and medieval research of the University of Cornelsky (Itka, New York), devoted to clarifying individual texts, special aspects of entire creativity of some writers and some section of the history of Russian literature and culture. The variety of analytical tasks in these works is connected by a single attitude: the phenomena of any level are considered in their individual originality, so that each of them requires the finding of the corresponding approach, which cannot be set a priori. Nevertheless, some sustainable analytical motives appear in the works; Among them, a figure of concealment is distinguished, a concept denoting a multi-faced functional-semantic formation, through which literary statements gain intensity and depth.
