The book is dedicated to the memory of Oleg Vasilyevich Malyarov (April 7, 1935 – May 4, 2013), Doctor of Economics, chief researcher at the Center for Indian Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The book was written by very different authors from different cities – Moscow, Delhi, Tomsk, Great Luke, Dushanbe, Tashkent. Many knew and worked with O.V. Malyarov for many years, others met with him only at conferences, some lived in the summer in the neighborhood in the village of Lipovka of the Pskov region. The materials placed in the book are a combination of the quintessence of scientific ideas, the concepts of O.V. Malyarova, his scientific and practical recommendations and personal memories of him as an outstanding, bright person, scientist, patriot, citizen.
