Someone calls the famous writer with threats, and after a while she is found killed in her own house. The situation is complicated by the disappearance of the manuscript that can shed light on the crime. Kay Scarpett, the chief forensic expert Richmond, is connected to the investigation. Gradually, people from the closest environment of the writer begin to die one by one, and Kay herself becomes a new target of the pursuer. She has only one thing left – to open the case and catch the killer before he gets to her.
