The book is devoted to the study of the experience of a terrorist threat (TU) with indirect victims of terrorist attacks – people who have become witnesses of terrorist attacks through television, radio broadcasts and other sources of information. The psychological, clinical, clinical and socio-psychological consequences of terrorist attacks, as well as their impact on the human psyche, manifested in different forms of mental maladaptation are discussed. Theoretical justifications and the results of a long -term empirical study of the experience of a terrorist threat are presented, for the measurement of which an original survey questionnaire has been developed and tested. The connection of TU severity with the level of post -traumatic stress has been established and it is shown that the high level of TU acts for a vulnerable part of the population with a psycho -traumatic stressor. The levels of TU experience in different regions of the Russian Federation are compared.
