Ivan Bunin – the first Russian Nobel laureate, was awarded the Pushkin Prize three times, the youngest academician of the St. Petersburg Russian Academy. In the twentieth century, he continued the traditions of the great Russian literature of the 19th century, the skill of I. Bunin is so subtle and honed, “… that everything described is not described at all, but simply existing”, according to F. Stepun.
