The book of A. L. Sobolev is a complete annotated painting of the content of the St. Petersburg magazine “Vesna” (1908-1914), one of the few periodicals in pre-revolutionary Russia, the main task of which was working with novice authors. The fundamental openness of the magazine predetermined both the abundance of literary debuts held on its pages and the exceptional place of “spring” in Russian literature of the early twentieth century.
