Small Collected Works: Niccolo Machiavelli

Niccolo Machiavelli is one of the most famous Italian political thinkers of the Renaissance, writer, historian, playwright, military theorist. His political treatise “Sovereign” is the most significant and ambiguous work of the Renaissance in this genre. For many years this book was associated with the policy of poison and dagger. After the publication of the “sovereign”, the term “Machiavellism” appeared, denoting cynicism, permissiveness, duplicity in politics. However, today, many provisions of the author are perceived as of course, finding their embodiment in the history of the twentieth century.
In addition to the “Sovereign”, the wonderful “History of Florence” was also included in the real collection, in which Machiavelli sets out the exciting story of his homeland – a work on the clarity of style and deep thoughts that is not inferior to the great historical treatises of antiquity.
