Scripts in Indesign. Guide for smart designers and lazy layouts+CD: Mikhail Borisov

The issues of creating scripts in Indesign (CS2/SS3) are considered to automate the work of the designer and the layoutor. The book is based on a detailed description of real scripts developed by the author in the process of many years of practice. The object model Indesign is given. The creation of dialogue windows, document management and interaction with master pages are shown. The features of the use of scripts when working with text frames, formatting text and tables, using styles, work with images are considered. Attention is paid to practical issues of checking the correctness of the publication before the withdrawal of coloring, automation of the descent of the bands. The interaction with other editors included in the Creative Suite package is shown. The application contains brief JavaScript, Visualbasic and Applescript reference books.
