“Russian experiment”. Committee of Public Information and Foreign Policy of the United States (1917-1920): Evgenia Privalova

The monograph considers the US information and propaganda activity in the international arena during the First World War and the presidency of Woodlon Wilson, who sought to bring America to a leading position in the world. The main object of the study is the government propaganda body-the Committee of Public Information (SI-Pa-Ai), which ensures such a foreign policy and testifies to the obvious ideologization of the US foreign policy of that time. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the American Press Bureau (ABP) – the Russian branch of the committee. On the example of printed publications, films and enlightenment campaigns of ABP, techniques and methods for promoting American values ​​and lifestyle are identified.
