The collection contains articles illuminating the scientific achievements of Russian expeditions to the central (internal) Asia – to Mongolia, Western China and Tibet organized by the Russian geographical society in the late XIX – early XX centuries. Detailed various aspects of the organization and equipment of expeditions, a variety of field (instrumental) research and collection of natural historical collections. The publication is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of an outstanding traveler, researcher of Central Asia P.K. Kozlova (1863-1935).
The collection is intended for historians of science, as well as for everyone who is interested in the history of the region’s research.
