Polyaris, a luxurious space yacht with rich celebrities aboard, goes to distant cosmos to observe a rare event – a collision of two stars. Returning to his native planet, the ship disappears, and when it is found, there is no crew or passengers on it. And so, sixty years later, Alex Benedict, the anti-Curvian merchant, wanting to acquire some objects from the Polyaris at the auction, unexpectedly finds out that someone is trying to destroy all the artifacts associated with the ill-fated ship, and at the same time all those who had business with them or even accidentally turned out to be nearby.
