John T. Elbby is a member of the American Historical Association, editor of the American Historical Review magazine for many years and the author of a number of biographies of the English kings of the 21st -XII centuries. Creating a biography of King Henry II, Elbby set himself the task – to collect all the facts and as accurately presented to readers the life of this great man. The basis for the book was archival materials: the decrees of the king, various kinds of government papers, private letters and memories of people from the environment of His Majesty.
