Petrovka, 38. Ogareva, 6. Confrontation: Julian Semenov

The book of the famous Russian writer Julian Semenovich Semenov (1931-1993) includes works about the difficult and dangerous work of the detectives of the criminal investigation department – Colonel Sadchikov, Major Kostenko and senior lieutenant Roslyakov. In the novel “Petrovka 38” they are investigating the case of the robbery of the savings bank, and in the novel “Ogarev, 6” – about an attempt to rape a young actress and poisoning customers of cars. In the novel “The Confrontation” of Kostenko and his associates, unraveling the series of mysterious murders, come into a fight with a cruel criminal, whose secret is hidden in the terrible events of the Great Patriotic War. All these novels were filmed in 1980 and 1985, respectively, and aroused enormous audience interest.
