The famous work “The abolished theater”, for which Bulat Okudzhava was awarded the Buker Prize, represents the history of the author’s early childhood, which took place in an atmosphere of love and joyful comfort, despite “formidable, unpredictable twilight outside the window”. The dramatic events of the era, closely intertwining with the personal memories of the writer, give rise to a kind of “melody of loss”, a sad motive, inseparable from the age of past.
The present publication also included autobiographical novels and stories: “Be healthy, schoolchlar”, “New as a needle”, “Music lessons”, “The art of cutting and living” and others.
