The book talks about the pioneers of Russian abroad, the contribution of the first waves of emigration to the formation of a single cultural and educational space of foreign Russia. The key words of the publication – the mission of Russian emigration, Gallipoli, Sikorsky, Zvorykin, refugees and displaced persons, the Tolstoy fund, their native language and cultural heritage – characterize its substantial orientation. The tendency to bring together and partnership of compatriots abroad with the new Russia is reflected. A striking example of this is their participation in the activities of the House of Russian Abroad named after A. Solzhenitsyn in Moscow.
The publication is intended for a wide range of readers, teachers and students interested in the history of Russian abroad and a modern approach to the topic “Russia in the world”.
