Dmitry Irinarkhovich Zavalishin (1804-1892) was born in Astrakhan in the family of Major General, graduated from the Marine Corps and taught him, made a trip around the world on the “cruiser”, founded the “Restoration Order”, was close to the Decembrists, did not participate in the uprising, but sentenced to 20 years of hard labor. He remained in Chita until 1863, when he – a case unique in domestic history – was sent from Siberia to European Russia. For the past three decades, he lived in Moscow.
