Evgeny Karasev (b. 1937) – Tver poet, prose writer and memoirist. The author of many poetic publications in the magazines “New World”, “Arion”, “Ural”, “Lehaim” and “Literary newspaper”, six collections of poems and several books of prose that have published in Tver. Laureate of the Prize of the magazine “New World” (1996), poetic prize “Anthologia” (2011) and prize named after N. S. Gumilyov (2011).
However, behind all these literary achievements there is also a tragic human fate: he was orphaned in the war, got into the children’s colony, after which he spent 20 years in prison, had seven convictions.
For the first time, a new book of selected poems and poems of different years, built in alphabetical order, is published in Moscow, presenting almost half -century poetic creativity to a wide reader.
