Sasha Black (Alexander Mikhailovich Glikberg, 1880-1932) – an outstanding poet and writer of the Silver Age.
The poetic books “Satires” (1910) and “Satires and Lyrics” (1911) brought him deafening literary glory. In them, in all the splendor, the amazing and multifaceted talent of Sasha Black – the merciless satirist and the finest lyrical poet appeared. He continued to compose poetry in exile (1920-1932), some of them entered his third book “Thirst” (1923). In addition, Sasha Black throughout his life created wonderful poems for children; The children’s island compiled by him went out of the press in 1921 and showed the world another facet of the poet’s talent.
This edition contains the best verses from the published books of the poet, as well as those that remained beyond the scope of printed publications. A special section is represented by masterpieces of children’s poetry belonging to Peru Sasha Cherny.
