Yuri Georgievich Miloslavsky – prose writer, poet, historian of literature, religious scholar. A native of Kharkov – there he began as a writer. Since 1973 in exile.
“Invited” is a novel about the nature of love, about its very substance, about death and revival. The reader is offered after the narrator – Nikolai Usov – to plunge into the history of youthful unhappy love: continuing to influence him all his life both bodily and sincerely, she essentially replaced his biography, his personality. The outskirts of the southern city of Russia (a place of youth), then New York, another life … The hero cannot come to terms with the “non-post-office” and begins to look for ways to overcome the substance of the time so that it-“meeting-love”-still took place …
Fragments of the first part of the novel were published in the literary almanac “Rubezh” (Vladivostok).
