The second part of the textbook introduces the development of Russian literature after the October Revolution of 1917 (1925-1985).
The legacy of this period in domestic literature is heterogeneous. It includes the literature of the first years of the formation and strengthening of the principles of “socialist realism” in a collision with other directions and currents; literature on the Great Patriotic War (from military poetry, prose and dramaturgy to experiments of rethinking a military theme); a large corps of works about the life of the village (from rural idyll of the post -war years to realistically merciless paintings “rustic prose”); The literature of the time of the “thaw” and the so -called “era of stagnation”, and ends with the works that appeared at the beginning of the “perestroika” of Soviet society.
Since the mid -1980s, when the writers of Russian abroad became available with the onset of “perestroika” in the homeland, it became clear that two parallel stream of Russian literature – in the metropolis and abroad – should be considered as one …
