The book of Dmitry Klochkov is devoted to the widely known, but poorly elite unit of the Russian Guard – his own imperial majesty. For many years, none of the guards are alive, but we return to the glorious traditions of the imperial guard more and more often. Created for political purposes, this military unit left a significant mark not only in the court life of St. Petersburg, but also in the combat history of Russia.
A significant part of the study is described by the uniform, weapons and regalia of the convoy. These attributes were for each guards regiment, supporting its corporate contentment. Most of the materials contained in the book were not used in the open press. The book contains photos of genuine objects of uniform, weapons, awards, reproductions of paintings and drawings, copies of orders, copyright reconstruction.
