Almost a 700-page two-volume “Futurism and allism” came out of the press, composed of early performances, manifestos and articles of Ilya Zdanevich. Zdanevich, as you know, was one of the initiators of the futuristic movement in Russia and one of the first propagandists of the work of Marinette and its associates. The extremely energetic and scandalous activity of this young man (he was then 18-19 years old) took place in St. Petersburg and Moscow. Soon, together with the artist M.V. Le-Dantu, he founded the course and teachings of the wholeness, fundamentally rejecting futurism and involving all the artistic achievements of the past in his orbit. The publication is based on archival materials stored in the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), thoroughly commented (E. Basner, A. Krusanov, G. Marushin) and contains documentary illustrations provided by the TMI and the Marseilles archive of the writer. A significant number of texts in both volumes are published for the first time.
