Emigration of scientists from Russia: Tatyana Naumova

The problem of emigration of scientists is largely the nature of the “leakage of minds”. This is a well -known phenomenon that occurs in many countries. Russia is not only no exception, but also acts as a world leader in the field of emigration. In Russian history, four waves of emigration of scientists can be distinguished. In the work, the main attention is paid to the modern wave of emigration of scientists. In this regard, the causes of this phenomenon, the scale are revealed, the consequences of the emigration of scientists for the development of science and the country as a whole are analyzed, measures are proposed to maintain the country’s intellectual potential, and the similarities and differences of each of the four waves of Russian emigration of scientists are shown.
