The book included previously published, corrected and complemented, but mainly new works by the author, representing more and more in many respects in a new life and creative path of the talented Russian poet Vadim Shershenevich (1893-1942). They are reduced to independent thematic sections of both historical and literary orientation, however, however, closely related to the main character of the book. The central place is occupied by those of them in which the creative and cooperation relations between Shershenevich with Mayakovsky (in the era of the formation of Russian futurism) and Yesenin (during the emergence and development of imazhinism) are traced. The use of the vast material of printed and archival sources in the book, including the author’s archival searches, made it possible to cover the vicissitudes of the poet’s complex relations with the authorities, the MCC and the NKVD, literary opponents and just colleagues by profession.
