Alexander Podrabinek was born in 1953 in Moscow, by education, a medic. Since the beginning of the 1970s, an active participant in the human rights movement. The author of the book “punitive medicine” (1979, USA). In 1978, he was arrested and exiled, in 1980 he was again arrested and sentenced to 3.5 years of camps. The editor -in -chief of the human rights newspaper Express -Chronicle (1987 – 2000), co -founder of the “Independent Psychiatric Association”. In the new century, the head of the Russian branch of the Civil Freedom Fund, a journalist, is regularly published in online publications. “Emigration or camp? Fidelity or weakness?
