The diaries of Rurik Ivnev (real name Mikhail Alexandrovich Kovalev), a poet, prose writer, translator, memoirist, cover almost seventy years of the last century, pass the atmosphere of the country’s literary and social life of that era, show the morals and contradictions of time described without any embellishment.
The author of the diary lived a long life. He worked with A.V. Lunacharsky, met with many representatives of the literary elite. Among them: A.A. Block, S.A.Senin, N.A. Klyuev, M.A. Kuzmin, O.E. Mandelstam, A.B. Mariengof, Yu.K. Olesha, B.L. Pasternak, V.V. Khlebnikov, etc.
In full, the diary is published for the first time.
