Cotillion. Contribution to sexual symbols: Alfred Robitsek

The work of Alfred Robitseck “Cotillion. The contribution to the sexual symbol” by a separate book was published in German in 1925 in “International Psychoanalytischer Verlag”. In this text, Robitsek shows that the figures of the Cotillon dance can be interpreted as dreams, since the same sexual symbolism is used in their creation. Based on the own interpretations of numerous dance figures presented in this work, it clearly shows how a symbolic expression of suppressed sexual drives occurs in the dance due to weakening of censorship.
