The book of the recognized stylist Georgy Semenov “The cool shadows” included unpublished stories of a mature master, the early stories of the-studies of the novice writer, touching their immediacy, recordings of different years: about the house, about the family, creative ideas, the search for the hero, thoughts of literature, writers and, of course, about the life and fate of Russia. All this is distinguished by the purity of feelings, the depth of thoughts and the truth of life. For the first time, the remarkable watercolors of the author are almost completely published, which will undoubtedly bring joy to the true admirers of nature.
“To give yourself freedom to be a truly living person – at least in thoughts and feelings – this is a lot of our age. The art of being free – great art and not everyone owns it,” George Semenov writes in his diary. He possessed this art fully.
