The book of the famous Russian writer and filmmaker Edgar Borisovich Dubrovsky (born in 1932) included his early stories, inspired by his impressions of numerous trips around the country, as well as film poison with an acute detective plot (“Prefero on Fridays”, “Two Long Huds in the Fog”), written by him at the time of maturity. A special place among them is the film “Cold Summer Fifty -Third” (the film of the same name was released in 1987, in the main roles – Valery Demoymykhov, Viktor Stepanov, Anatoly Papanov, director Alexander Proshkin) about the events of that terrible summer when many thousands of criminals that had been published on the Beriyan amnesty arranged a bloody lawlessness. But this is not just another duel of good guys with bad, but a truly folk drama, a true and sowing of the soul a fact from their native history. For this work, the author was awarded the title of laureate of the USSR State Prize.
