The monographs analyze the basic paradigms that determine the appearance of linguistics in the second half of the XX – beginning of the 21st century (isolationist, anthropocentric, sociocultural), as well as their philosophical and psychological foundations. The possibilities opened by the sociocultural paradigm are illustrated by the study of the sociocultural history of the metaphor of the mechanism, the cognitive and cultural-historical foundations of metonymy, and the content of the concept of “crisis of culture”. An important result of the book is the “sociocultural theory of lexical complexes” and the description of the “Open”, “Stone”, “Intelligentsia” complexes performed within its framework.
The book is addressed to students and graduate students of humanitarian universities.
