The coming New Year, the forensic expert Kay Scarpett, intended to meet together with her beloved niece Lucy. But the mysterious phone call changed her plans: Kay had to urgently go to the inactive base of the US Navy in order to testify the death under the water of the journalist Ted Eddings. Soon, a terrible death overtakes her young assistant Danny Webster. And a few days later, the nuclear power station in Old Punt is in the hands of terrorists.
