The story “Bride” of the wonderful Soviet writer Alexander Borisovich Chakovsky (1913-1994) is the dramatic story of the young worker Volodya Kharlamov, to whom the court undeservedly passes a harsh sentence. His bride Valya Kudryavtsev, her Volodya once saved from the hooligans, and the people’s assessor, the old communist Mitrokhin, actively insist on revising the case. In the end, other people who knew Kharlamov and managed to overcome such simple human qualities as fear, selfishness and indifference join them … In 1969, the film “I am his bride”, director Naum Trakhtenberg, in the main roles, Alexander Filippenko, Vsevolod Sanaev, was shot.
