The book is based on real events. In the bay of the island of Iturup, a hurricane wind was carried away into the open sea of the T-36 self-propelled tank-marked barge. Four soldiers on board were left without a connection, without enough water and provisions, without any rescue. The drama of the situation was aggravated by the fact that the search for the missing barge was discontinued a few days later, and the fighters were buried in absentia. But four guys contrary to everything continued to fight for their lives. Fifty days was a deadly duel between them and the raging elements. Fifty days, death hung over them, but could not overcome the courageous guys. They won!
