Anthology consists of five parts in which the dominant genres of Korean poetry are represented. In the native language in chronological order. The first part included works by the early Middle Ages, written in the form of a hunger inherent in folk poetry. Subsequent parts include the works of the Korean Middle Ages: the second part is “Koryo Songs” (from the 13th century); The third part is poems in the form of Sijo (XV – XVIII centuries), both copyright and anonymous; The fourth part is “Songs of new times” written in the form of Chan Sigio (XVIII – XIX centuries); A fifth part – works written in the form of Cas (XVI century) and in the form of a chap (XVII – XVIII centuries)
Russian poetic translations are made by well -known poets (Anna Akhmatova, Alexander Zhovtis), and poets of the new generation (Evgeny Vitkovsky, etc.).
We hope that the reader will discover the beautiful world of Korean poetry of past centuries and will feel its national aroma.
