Boris Vasiliev (1924-2013) went to the front at the age of 17, and military experience allowed Boris Lvovich very simply and clearly telling the truth about the war. “And the dawns here are quiet …” became the most famous story in Soviet literature about women in the war, and not just women – soldiers, fighters who fearlessly looked into the face of death for the sake of the future. As soon as he went out of the press, the story became the subject of hot discussion, later it was set on the theater stage and filmed. This is one of the most tragic and lyrical stories about the war, which has become a classic of domestic literature.
The book is included in the school curriculum.
