Alexander Golovin. On the 150th birthday

This publication was prepared by the State Tretyakov Gallery for the exhibition dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Yakovlevich Golovin, one of the largest representatives of the art of the era of symbolism and the Art Nouveau style in Russia. He enters the galaxy of outstanding painters, to which V.A. Serov, K.A. Korovin, I.I. Levitan, M.V. Nesterov, M.A. Vrubel, A.N. Benois, who determined new ways in the development of Russian artistic culture of the late XIX – early XX centuries.
The publication presents the works of the artist from the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Central Theater Museum named after A.A. Bakhrushin, the State Russian Museum, the St. Petersburg State Museum of Theater and Musical Art, the Moscow Art Theater Museum and other domestic
and foreign meetings, as well as from private collections.
