The book opens the world of old Korean legends to the reader. Real people live in this world – kings who created the state in the ancient times on the Korean Peninsula. Their subjects, advisers with a wise word, warn sovereigns against rash acts, and wars, devoted and courageous, save the country and their ruler from death. It happens that the kings are seduced by the beauties and the country’s wealth spend on their pleasures, but in the end, bad rulers lose their possessions.
Many characters of the legends have magical power and know how to get along with the inhabitants of another world, capable of managing human destinies. In the legends, there are wolf monks, predictors and geomants, dragons, tigers and werewolf foxes, which are not always friendly to people. Either one who has knowledge and skill is saved from the werewolf, or the hero himself conquers him with his courage and selflessness. In the end, greedy and evil always endure, and loving and good miraculous forces give happiness.
