The quiet, kind Josephine studies the history of medieval France and, one might say, lives in the 12th century. But she has to return to reality when her husband leaves with her mistress to Africa to breed crocodiles, and she remains to fight off the creditors in cold, cynical Paris.
Suddenly, the beautiful sister Iris turned to her for help, who, wanting to let the dust into the eyes of a secular party, lied to the familiar publisher that she was working on a historical novel. Iris persuades Josephine to write a book for her. How will this adventure end for both of them?
