Southeast Asia is a huge, almost forgotten theater of military operations of the Second World War.
Building its colonial empire, Japan crushed the established world of European and American domination in this region. These events did not receive proper lighting in Western historiography, since the defeat is the collapse of the colonial empire is not a very popular topic for the losing side.
For us, the events in Southeast Asia were perceived as distant and not very relevant, although this front is comparable in scale with the European one.
For the first time in Russian historiography, this book comprehensively analyzes the course of events that led to the formation of a new world.
