John Frederick Charles Fuller, an English military historian and theorist, in his book explores the influence of weapons on the military art and fate of the peoples, shows how the inventive genius of man can potentially destroy his sense of moral values and civilization. Having highlighted the era-vein of valor and chivalry with their swords and spears, subsequent times of gunpowder, steam, oil and atomic energy, the Fuller shows the most influential military innovations of each period. Although the author admits that the war cannot be completely eliminated, he calls for a person to the need to limit the destructive factor of weapons.
