The book includes small prose works by Franz Kafka (1883-1924). Among them are stories and novels “Master of the post-art”, “Observation”, “Description of the struggle”, “Research of one dog” and other masterpieces. The outstanding English poet and essayist W. X. Oden called Kafka “the greatest master of pure parables” and put this author a member of Dante, Shakespeare and Goethe. In the small genre of Kafka, as in his novels, a mysterious, incomprehensible way predicts the events, mindships and social processes that have yet to marked all the complexity and inconsistency of the 20th century. Kafka speaks capacious, rich and figuratively about the metaphysical, moral, religious issues of human existence. No wonder Herman Gesse believed that Kafka’s stories are nothing more than poetic works.
