Vanka-Vosvodny. All deaths to spite: Sergey Michenkov

In the war, not only people, but also military units are mortal. So the rifle platoon of Lieutenant Krupennikov died more than once by the death of the brave – in order to rebel from the dead again, like a Russian soldier. In the summer of 1941, the platoon burned near Minsk, and in winter – near Narofominsky, bleeding near Maloyaroslavl and froze to death in hot Moscow snow – but always returned to duty. He retreated from the border itself under the crushing strikes of the Wehrmacht, rushed with grenades under the caterpillars of German tanks, disappeared and broke out of the environment, but did not run even once. It was thanks to such platoons and their unknown commanders, who were simply called “Vanka -Vosvodny” at the front, the Wehrmacht approached Moscow, having less than half of the personnel in combat units, almost without tanks, without reserves, without strength for the last jerk – and was stopped 30 kilometers from the Kremlin.
